R.O.O.T.S. explores the climate, flora and fauna of the High Plains as well as the origins, traditions and adaptations of the residents that paved their way to sustainability in Southeast Colorado. Presented at Boggsville for the 2026-2027 school year.

Purgatory 1868 Boggsville Raid
Just four years removed from the Sand Creek Massacre, the Fall of 1868 saw the last large raids by Native Americans to the Arkansas Valley. Join us as living historians portray settlers and soldiers from nearby Fort Lyon. Learn about the raids, their causes and aftermath, highlighting the perspectives of both settlers and Native Americans.
