Calling all volunteers. If you’d like to volunteer — a few hours a week or an hour or two every once in a while — we’d love to hear from you. Have fun, meet history enthusiasts like yourself and celebrate our unique place in the story of the Old West. Bring your love of history and a willing spirit and we’ll provide the projects and the know-how. Tell us what you like and we will find a way to make you a part of the things that interest you!
Do you have a hidden actor inside? You can become a character in one of our murder mysteries or bring a pioneer to life at Boggsville Days. How about appearing as a ghost for the annual Voices of the Passed cemetery tour?
Is gardening your thing? Perhaps you’d savor a quiet morning tending plants in the Kathleen Tomlin Memorial Bell Park. Even an hour or two makes the park more beautiful!
If you have a knack for landscaping or maintenance, maybe you’d like to help us maintain the grounds at Boggsville. Or join us the for our spring clean-up each year. It’s a great group of folks and we always have a good time.
Are you intrigued by historic artifacts or can’t resist those “Do Not Touch” signs? Come help us when we carefully clean and spruce up our displays at the John W. Rawlings Heritage Center and Museum.
Every Tuesday our volunteers work on our exhibits – adding more details, creating new displays, cataloging artifacts and more.
We can always use muscle power to help move furniture and other display items. If you’re willing to be on call, we will happily give you plenty of notice.
Help us index or digitize our vast collection of library materials. Discover interesting tales along the way and help us pick the ones we’ll share.
Help sort and index our collection of historic photos or review old negatives to see if they should be digitized. Our heritage librarians will teach you how.
